Owner’s Vision
With an emphasis on showcasing and incorporating natural elements, our team was tasked to design around an old terrace home tucked in the bustling city of Kuala Lumpur.
First task on hand was to be smart and play around with the limited entry of sunlight into the space. Not only that, the client has also indicated for us to keep things cozy, comfortable and warm, making the house looks “lived in”, instead of too new and fresh.

What we did
During the design & build process, one of the main elements we factored in are asymmetry, intimacy, and simple design. Our team had to also incorporate a tinge of minimalism by using real and natural objects (The client has also done a swelling job by including houseplants and furniture made from natural and raw materials in her deco selection)
With limited entry of sunlight, what we also did was open up the rear part of the house, inviting more sunlight into the space through the wet kitchen area.
The finishing touch was then to add texture around the home, allowing our eyes to see and feel the material without touching them. This will in turn gift the house some characters of its own.
