The Award-Winning Project: A Multi-Generational Home Design
Designing a home for three generations presents unique challenges. At the core of Interiorscapes Consultancy’s approach were functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability, ensuring that every family member—from grandparents to grandchildren—could enjoy a space tailored to their lifestyle.
Innovative Kitchen Design Solutions
The original structure of the house presented challenges, particularly in the kitchen. A sliding glass door at the end of the kitchen occupied valuable counter space, reducing the area’s functionality. Removing the door to create more room would have sacrificed natural light, essential for a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Our creative solutions included:
Optimized Natural Light
By redirecting and deflecting light from the front and sides of the house, we ensured the kitchen remained bright and inviting.
Innovative Glass Sliding Door
We installed a sleek glass sliding door between the kitchen and dining area. This functional partition allows natural light to flow seamlessly, even when closed.
High-Quality and Durable Kitchen Features
To enhance both functionality and longevity, Interiorscapes Consultancy incorporated:
Fun and Functional Spaces for All Generations
For the younger generation, Interiorscapes Consultancy introduced a custom-designed double-decker feature. This playful yet practical addition maximises space while offering a fun and adventurous element, making the home both practical and enjoyable for every family member.
